This is the very first edition of SWERV, designed for early beta testers who want to get fresh, filtered air into their homes without spending thousands or cutting into walls.

SWERV is the most affordable, efficient, installation-free, and beautifully designed energy recovery ventilator on the market. It’s perfect for renters, homeowners, and anyone looking to improve their indoor air quality without hassle. It installs in under two minutes into a sliding window (single or double-hung preferred), and it’s ready to go with no tools required.

With up to 80% thermal efficiency, SWERV keeps your indoor temperature and humidity stable while delivering a steady stream of fresh outdoor air. It provides 25 to 55 CFM of airflow depending on the fan setting, so the low setting is ideal for a bedroom, and the high setting works great in a larger living room. Airflow reverses every 20 seconds to power the core’s heat and moisture exchange.

SWERV actively removes CO2, VOCs, mold, and radon from your home while regulating temperature and humidity. These gases and pollutants are some of the most harmful elements of indoor air quality, and most purifiers and AC units can’t address them. Air purifiers filter particles, but the dangerous gases continue to build up. SWERV solves that by ventilating them out and bringing in fresh air without the energy loss or discomfort of cracking a window.

How it works:
SWERV uses a patented reversing airflow system through an enthalpy regenerator core. When warm, humid air leaves your room, it passes through the core, which absorbs the heat and moisture. After 20 seconds, the airflow reverses, and the incoming fresh outdoor air passes through that same core, picking up the stored heat and humidity. This process runs continuously, keeping your air fresh and your room comfortable while cutting energy loss and extending your HVAC lifespan.

It runs quietly, is built from off-the-shelf components, 3D printed parts, and laser-cut panels, and includes space for an optional MERV 13 filter that you can replace every six months or so. Later this year, we’ll be partnering with a manufacturer to refine and scale the product, but this version is built for performance and designed to make a real impact now.
